Subject: does your 80-87 van spew gas all over when you top it off at the
              pump?

picture this. your standing at the gas pump..filling your '80-'87 2wd van or westy up..you top it off.. the gas doesnt shut off, and it spews all over the side of your van, all over your new shoes, and all over the pavement..

you need the updated filler neck! in late 88 the filler neck was redesigned to use a float ball at the bottom to prevent gas backwash up the filler neck when the tank is full..

the 80-87 vanagons do not have this float ball. i added the late model filler necks to both my 84 wolfsburg and my '85 doka and it solved this fuel backwash problem..

fyi i have a few of these late model filler necks w/ float ball available if anyone is interested..

hope this helps keep someones sneakers from smelling like a gas station..

chris
