Tom, I don't think it's a "quick" shift upgrade/change, rather a "short" shift. I've had mine on for a few years and like it. Shortens the "throw" of the shifter knob by at least a couple inches in all directions. I did not put the 5" extension on mine. I have long arms and don't need it. Besides, all that did was return the shift throw to what it was before, and I did not want/need the knob higher.
