Subject: Re: Wiring Harness Differences
Comments: To: David Johnson <davidj@ELPASOTEL.NET>

Yes, there are several differences between the two wiring harnesses. The California harness has special connections to accomodate the Hall-effect distributor, ICU and Idle Stabilizer while the Federal harness has none of these. The Federal model has connectors for the external resistor packs. Since the resistor packs are inside the ECU on the California versions the wiring harness doesn't have these connectors, but the ECU connector accomodates the difference. The connector to the AFM *might* be different between the two flavors - just don't remember offhand - and the California harness has a connector for the O2 sensor while the Federal doesn't.
