Last September I ordered a new speedometer (syncro) from my local VW
dealer. A few weeks later I also ordered one from Bus Depot. To date,
neither has arrived. I dropped by by local dealer to order something
else and decided to check on it. They now show it as obsoleted, so
they cancelled the order and credited me my pre-purchase price.

So, like other parts on our stuff, you'll just have to deal with
repairing any that aren't functional. Of course, if you are trying to
bring non-USA vehicles into the US, you may find yourself having live
with kilometers/hour (about time too!)
