I am not at the position financially to replace worn bushings on the front of my vanagon with 237k so I used PB Blaster Dry Lube. It will stop most squeaks when applied liberally to bushings on the suspension.

Interesting... I too have the squeaky front end, but I'm only at 107K, a lot less than either of the other two vehicles mentioned. My mechanic said that the front end looked fine, other than one worn tie-rod end. He's got 22 years experience, so curious if there anything else that would make the front end squeak. I do have passenger tires on mine (soon to be replaced) could this have anything to do with it? Assuming that these front end parts that Ben mentioned do need to be replaced, what kind of labor is involved, and how expensive are the parts? Is this a do-it-yourself project or one left to professionals, i.e. any special equipment needed?

Thanks,
