FWIW, my '84 7 passenger started the upper control arm bushing squeak when the body had 48,000 miles on it. Close inspection didn't indicate that they needed replacing so about once a year I spray silicone lube on them (I've been doing this since '91) and that keeps the squeaking away. Every year I look for play in them but haven't found any. It handles great. You know what they say ... YMMV.
