If this is the front-only overhead, there was a link I saw from some Vanagon owner who had one of these in a Westy. It did extend back a couple of inches past the poptop opening but s/he had a nice trim piece installed to mask that, and it must not have grossly hindered access to the upper bunk as no mention was made. Evidently, it can be done. Whether it works adequately or is worth the effort I cannot say.
