Bill, When I dismantled a lockset recently I noticed that those two roller pics can sometimes get cock-eyed and get stuck. I lubed them to get them to move better. Sometimes they get so beat up that they get burrs that catch and keep them from separating. Sometimes the problem is wear on the key. The tip of the key is supposed to part them. I've noticed that some freshly cut keys with more blocky tip does not work as well as one which has been worn into a wedge.
