Hello I am the guy with the smoke problem last week. While cleaning and inspecting my new Vanagon I found a one foot section of my wiring harness (were it goes along behind the license plate) that got hot enough to make all the wires stick together and become brittle. They are not shorting out but it doesn't give me any confidence. I could repair my wires but I am hoping someone out there who has done an engine conversion would have a decent one I could buy of off them. 1983 Water cooled anyone? It is the main harness that goes to the fuel injectors. Thanks, Wayne
