Subject: Aux battery access woes

Okay, the seat is off the turntable, and the turntable has been rotated 180 degrees around.....but the plastic battery box cover does not have enough clearance on the aft side (is actually slightly under the hinged side of the access door) No amount of prying is giving it enough clearance. I'm thinking if I take the turntable off I can slide the box cover forward slightly and it might come out then. Is it the four bolts on the top of the turntable that hold it on? I'm just about ready to take a pair of tin snips to the box cover! Is it like this on a Westy too?
