Subject: table leg

My 89 Westy came without either a front or rear table, and with camping season fast approaching I figure it's time to deal with it. I called Go Westy today, but with shipping, it would be close to $200 for just the rear table. Ouch. I'm wondering if anyone has made their own table leg. I was a cabinet maker for 13 years, and would have no problem making a table top. Might even get a little fancier than stock and put a nice oak trim on the edge or something. Just curious about the table leg and flange that attaches to on the underside of the tabletop. Anyone made their own or have ideals? Thin wall Electrical conduit? Muffler stock? Galvanized pipe? As far as the front table goes, how many of you actually use that thing? I'm thinking one of those little steps to get up to the upper bunk may be more useful there. Opinions?

Thanks,

Troy
