Bryan,

It is my understanding that you do need the more expensive hose. It is for high pressure FI systems. I just replaced all the line in mine and it cost me $5.00 a foot from Autozone or Advanced Auto, can't remember. I had fist stopped at CarQuest and they wanted $10 a foot - uh, no thanks.

I am guessing the hose you have on there now won't hold up to the pressure.
