Of what i heard, the tins were not there on the previous engine! anyway, noone no the true story, and that mechanic, i know him, he told me last year that he doesn't know nothing about Air-Cool engine, that proove a lot on a VW mechanic.

It was for sure a long block! i have seen the picture.
