Carol Shelby did something like this for the 65-66 (?) GT-350 Cobra Mustang about 20 years ago. Built new old ones with perfect parts. I think if you guys really want to do it, that's the route you'd have to go. VW is not going to reproduce the Vanagon. Chris C 90mv
