Go with a good quality ATF fluid. I used Amsoil, and my steering is running the smoothest ever. Be sure to check your PS lines, as there is a high failure rate with these. I just changed my lines out with these. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VW-Vanagon-Power-Steering-Hose-Set_W0QQitemZ1 40076066299QQcmdZViewItem A lot easier than factory. I need to add some power steering fluid (I think), went to the FLAPS to buy some. But the guy asked me what kind of vehicle I had, and said he thought for European vehicles I needed some special kind. Do I? or can I buy generic? If something special, what?
