would you bother fixing, or start looking for a doner van to swap all of
the good stuff into?

this is the worst part. it looks worse than usual because I removed that
sliding door cover piece to get a look at what was underneath. Also a
friend put some 'stop rust' stuff all over the bad parts for now, and it
turned them hard and black.

I picked up the van in New Mexico 2 years ago, and unfortunately it
spent a full winter in Minneapolis, driving it all the way through
winter. It has since located to CA, but ever since that winter it went
from (what looked like) no rust to what you see now. It seriously only
took 2 years to get this bad (or to where you could even see it.)

would you bother trying to fix all this, or start looking for a doner body?
