Hi,

I discovered last year that a mylar coated "emergency blanket" sold by Coghlans works pretty well.

think its this one: <http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ Product_10151_-1_10001_60429?cm_mmc=nextag-_-350-4-12-_--1- _-38-643-463-00&hvarAID=nextag&mr:referralID=0af355c0-dd8a-4f59- b684-7bafe918e85f>

Its reflective mylar faced poly "tarp" and the narrow side spans the width of the van perfectly. I had installed 2 nylon hooks on the forward edge of the pop top, on that vertical reinforcing "flange" and I hooked the blanket onto them (actually used strong rubber bands to give some shock absorption).

The lower part hang down long enough to go over the forward edge of the luggage rack and onto the window. I used strong magnets to secure the tarp to the car just above the window. So it completely covers the luggage rack, unlike the other flies I have seen on the list.

With the shiny side out it not only keep the rain off but reflects the sun.

Its quick and inexpensive. ($14?)

I remember seeing a pattern for a westy rain fly online -- similar to the same one Frank C sells. As we're planning for rain @ Everybus, and Kris is feeling in a "sew" mood, does anyone know where I can get this pattern? A link, perhaps?
