Ben,

You have done some great work here, I am surprised it did not get a lot of praise already.

This is an especially an issue I am thinking a lot every day, I have some rust "issues" and around the windshield and a side window. I am sure I can get some body shop to work on it, but I know its going to be expensive, windows, seals, and I am not sure anyone is going to do a good job, and meanwhile it keeps getting worse.

Leslie

"I wouldn't spend any time fixing that kind of rust damage but I'm a westerner"

Yea, exaclty! your westerner.... some have no choice, funny how some southern folks sometime think they have rust on their vans... some rust, yea!

I'll show you rust, you should see the van i'm doing right now, i'll post pictures later.

As for the original post, if it's a westy, save it, if not... sell it to me, i'll cut it to have some spare metal/skin parts... he he he.

The problem when working around the windows is to respect the shape around this one, to much putty and the window won't fit or even crack if to tight.

Of what i can see, it's not to bad, all rust need to be remove, grinded until you see goo metal, after, you may need some small sheet metal work, you can glue them, and a bit of micro-fiberglass.
