Re the lawyers and regulators, if the group included one of Shakespeare's
descendents, perhaps that person would still have the gene that led
Shakespeare to suggest doing away with lawyers.
On a more serious note, and understanding that our U.S. policies may have
led to the demise of the air cooled, over the wheel vehicles, I wonder if
the latter anti-over the wheels regulations could be gotten around by using
rehabbed "old" bodies, and an acceptable newly developed engine and other
required safety features. I hasten to add that I'm neither highly
mechanically skilled (I lose parts when changing a ball point's cartridge)
nor an engineer, but the ideas intrigue me.
