Yeesh, if that's the case, I'm due approximately fifty warnings. If the "warning" wasn't from Jim Arnott, then someone was pulling your leg, or they were being a jerk. The Vanagon list has always seemed to me to be mostly a free-form community conversation thingy, rather than a corporate board meeting. So long as it's Vanagon related, it's OK. Even stupid questions that have been asked a million times before are OK, in my opinion. You never know when someone might have fresh insight into the issue.
