Excuse the off topic post but it is Friday, and this does involve
"cars" and racing.


I am involved this year (again) in the Canary Derby adult soapbox
race here in Victoria BC. Its a fund raising event involving local
companies (mostly tech type) constructing and racing gravity powered
cars. The money goes to the Canary Foundation, for research in early
cancer detection.


Last year was lots of fun, this years should be better, more
companies entered. The race is on June 16, see here for info:
