Both my '84 7 passenger and my '85 Westy have daily driver status. The only reason we do some of our distance driving in our new Beetle is fuel cost. If we think that we'll be able to camp somewhere along the way, though, it's the '85 Westy we take for sure. They are used year 'round.

I'm pretty sure I have the only Vanagons within a 100 mile radius (I now have 3). There is a bay window bus and a bay window Westy that I see from time to time but no other VW vans in the vicinity.

Many of my "Mods" are reversible. Others I try to do as tastefully as possible. None are done or not done with resale value in mind. I just can't see driving these things for years and years while wishing some of the things were a little different.
