You should set the meter to low ohms scale and see a reading in the low single digits on the 12 volt heater element. Under 3 ohms I think. The 110 volt element will be much higher, over 100? The expected values are in a Dometic troubleshooting guide on the net somewhere but I don't remember exactly. Yes, infinity would mean a broken wire or very bad connection, assuming the scale on the meter is set to a reasonable value range. I do have a small wiring diagram from the fridge manual (small being the keyword) so it's hard to see what's what. I do remember the wiring diagram on top of the fridge though. I actually just had this thing out of the van about two weeks ago for a cleaning and fan upgrade. I'm becoming an old hand at getting this fridge out of the van!
