And I don't mean just altitude, (nor do I mean "High" in the often-thought way people associate VW buses and their drivers) though it was pretty high altitude in Lee Vining, California (just east of Yosemite on US hwy 395) where I saw some $4.09 per gallon regular gas for sale. By The oil company..shell/texaco/standard/chevron/ brand... In my inline 4 VW powered van with abbreviated westy interior and no poptop, I go 300 miles, then look for gas...that takes me about 12.2 gallons to re-fill at 300 miles run..M.M.V.
