if your final drive/trans seal has gone bad, you will be able to see it in
the ATF level.  if you check the ATF and its brown, not red, and abnormally high
on the dipstick (when checked warm and level and idling), then youve got gear
oil leaking into the ATF..     how could u see the ATF mixed in with the gear
oil?

if that was the case, then the ATF level on the dipstick would be low..
