Distributor cap? Fuel pressure? Did it quit completely? Sudden engine quitting usually indicates ignition. Sputtering or slowly bogging can be ignition or fuel supply. I'd bet on fuel supply either he pump, the pressure regulator or something blocking the line. Does it have a misfire as in one injector not getting fuel?
