We applied a coating of Nikwax (for tents) on Sat @ Everybus and it helped -- but didn't waterproof completely. I think interior humidity was getting into the interior of the canvas, too. This takes me back to a thought I had before: making the canvas more like a tent -- almost all screen material with a 3-4" trip of ripstop nylon at the top and bottom. To keep the water out, a fly that installs on the outside.
