Hans was nice enough to let me drive his van as well. As we passed my wife, our friend commented that she was about to be in a lot of trouble...

Amazing difference in drivibility -- even considering the higher 3rd and 4th in his van. It simply drove like a car -- not like an overloaded 60s truck (like my 83.5 does). Could have sworn I killed it a few times -- couldn't hear it idling behind me!

When (not if, when) my newly rebuilt engine dies, it'll be hard to decide between the subie and a TDI. Decisions, decisions...
