a metal cup insert into the westy plywood subfloor is sufficient. or a large
bolt (with head flush w/ plywood subfloor) bolted thru the floor with a large
recessed allen head in the head of the bolt that the junpseat feet pegs could
fit into would be even better.  thats what will be using to install a jumpseat
in my 91 westy.  force in a frontal collision is directly forward on the
battery box not the floor.  your seat pedestal battery box sheetmetal will crush
long before any force is applied to the floor in a frontal collision weather
you have the factory floor cups or not.

if you want the factory floor cups, you have to weld them to your floor.
which requires removing your ENTIRE WESTY INTERIOR to get the floor out.
is it worth it?  no.

but if you must have the factory junpseat floor cups, i have some here.
