Rob, I just noticed a deal they're selling, free driver ferry trip on a
round trip. The above link leads to what I've pasted here:

Round Trip Driver goes FREE!
May 1, 2007 - September 30, 2007
Promotion: The licensed driver of a passenger vehicle will be allowed to
travel FREE when accompanying a driveable passenger vehicle on a “mirror
image” round trip itinerary. Round trip itineraries must be paid in full
prior to or at initial departure; subject to usual payment due dates. All
travel must commence between May 1, 2007 and September 30, 2007.

Special Rules will apply to the promotional reservations booked for travel
within this period.

Requirements:

The Driver Free discount may be applied only to one licensed driver per
driveable accompanied passenger vehicle, including motorcycles, when
traveling on a “mirror image” round trip between any two Alaska Marine
Highway ports.
A “mirror image” round trip is defined as matched reversing travel between
two ports.
An itinerary may include multiple segments, however, the Driver Free
discount will apply ONLY to “mirror image” round trip segments. (I.E. port A
to port B and port B to port A)
Driver on additional port segments, passengers, cabins, unaccompanied or
non-driveable vehicles, pets, bikes, kayaks, food and beverages are charged
at normal rates.
The Driver Free discount cannot be combined with any other passenger
discount or promotional fare.
All eligible travel must commence between May 1, 2007 and September 30, 2007
All eligible round trip drivers will be provided the discounted rate, if
booked at an AMHS office, terminal, contract agency or on our web site at
www.ferryalaska.com.
