Yeah this would confirm why we haven't had as much of an issue. We use mixed grades one for the studs one for the nuts, which also means different hardnesses.. which means they won't gall as much if at all. The install speed is not as applicable as most of us will be putting them on by hand with hand tools.

SS nuts and bolts on exhaust will still have to be cut off after a short time due to galling. We did it once after 500 miles. Every single nut and bolt was galled and seized. Every one.
