Looking great Dave! I love the work you're doing! I just had a flex pipe installed into my daughters Hyundai Accent, and the guys at Midas were going to weld it in. I asked if it couldn't be just clamped instead, and they said sure. They notched the sides for squeezability (copyright word) :-) and clamped it in. Perhaps you could do that with your flex pipe, allowing it to not be a one piece assembly? Just a thought. Also, are you going to need a heat shield on that muffler assembly to deflect heat away from the engine or will it be cool enough? I was wondering when you were going to post new pics, I love living life vicariously. :-) It's a lot cheaper!!!
