just in the process of trying to get the recaros in, from a mkII jetta. the info i have from the list and chris how to do it says to weld in vanagon tracks... seems to me that would be hard to do (yes i removed the power base from the recaro) since the tracks have to be mounted a little narrower than the original recaro tracks. It looks to me like i cound just screw a metal plate to the recaros using the existing threads in them, and then screw the vanagon tracks to this plate, did anyone do this and can comment on this? thanks flo
