This effect is exploited by the manufacturers of inexpensive tents. Try
this simple exercise: go to Walmart and buy a cheap Chinese-made tent.
Remove it from its box or stuff sack. Then attempt to fit it back in. It
doesn't go, does it? It will have seeming expanded by at least 20%. But
that's an illusion: the tent will be the same size, the Universe will
have shrunk around it.

By the same token, whenever the refrigerator door is opened (Mellow
Yellow has a Norcold, but the concept applied to the original Dometic*)
various foodstuffs which have been neatly stacked atop each other will
tumble out. Getting them back in so the door can be closed requires
careful maneuvering and some force -- I use a toilet plunger.

*Anyone want this 182R? It works fine, I just wanted more cooling power
for hot days above 90F so put in the Norcold which begat the larger aux
battery which begat the solar panels which begat the charge controller.
All the bits and pieces are with the Dometic. You'll have to come by and
