I unplugged the flat black connector coming out on the forward side of the throttle body (the connector slightly angled towards the air filter box). But both the idle and jerky acceleration got a lot worse. With the connector unplugged idle runs up and down, and the bus is hardly driveable at all. Had to plug it back in to be able to drive.

Should I try to open up anything and clean out the throttle body? Sorry for all the questions. Not counting the lawn mower, it's the first and only gas engine I've ever had...
