I had two "blackouts" yesterday. The first was from midmorning until midafternoon -- no list posts, then suddenly 30 or so messages came down the chute, several timestamped quite early in the day. The second blackout began around 7pm (US Pacific time) and persisted until I went to bed. This morning, the gate is open again and another 30 or so posts have wandered in, some timestamped shortly after 7pm last night. I was blabbing with Joel via p-mail yesterday and I don't recall whether I received e-mails from him during the blackouts or not, so the blackouts could-a been complete ones, or they might have affected only Vanagon list posts. I fetch my mail from gmail using a POP mail client (Thunderbird), and I did not use the web interface to see if my gmail.com account had messages in it that weren't POP'd, or whether the list posts just weren't arriving. Either something funny is going on with gmail or gerry.vanagon.com is being weird.
