2. Rear facing jump seat install Following Chris' advice, I just spent > 2 hours searching the archives. There are certainly a lot of references to jump seats, but finding a real reference to the install is like finding a needle in a haystack... Best I can come up with is to install brass cups in the floor (cut holes in the wood Westy subfloor), or weld/bolt in the real brackets from a donor van. I'm not convinced that the brass cups would be strong enough in the event of an accident so I prefer to go the second approach. If anyone has a pair of the floor brackets (from a junkyard van?), that would be great.

The most efficient and secure way to do this is to use an allen head socket bolts which have the appropriate inside cup diameter to fit the pins on the bottom of the seat legs and install those allen head bolts in the floor flush with the flooring you have. Use of large outside diameter washers under the van that fit the shaft of the bolt is prudent to distribute the load on the floor. Use of nylock nuts would also be prudent. This system has been written about before and works perfectly and is easy. I do not understand why you did not find that information in the archives.

Cheers,
