A good Friday fellow listees, I took everyone's advice (That was given) and put a new thermostat in my 1987 Van. It runs SOOOOO much better now. I have one question though.... After it warms up, I have noticed that when I put it in park, my idle goes to about 12,1500 rpm (steady) when it is in gear the rpm drops to about 700-800. when cold it idles at 700. My guess is that the higher rpm's is because everything is warm (the sensors) and that's the way it is going to be now. do I have a problem or do I just enjoy the better running engine??
Thanks, Chris S. </HTML> |
