Hi and thanks, as a test, the liscense plate was painted with Dupond
Premium ( i had small quantity made), at 95-100% , it's the same as the
Valspar..... far from the inside also.... both are the Exact VW code:
Dove Blue Metallic-LH5U, same # on dash.
http://www.gti16v.com/vwcc1987.htm#vwcc1987
But wait, outside i have a 84 VAn for parts, same color, same code, this
van match the interior, BUT'! the mirror have been remove, and under
those, the color match mine????? this van was not painted and is faded,
or should i say, darker!!!!!!!
I'm confuse, at first, i was sure they made a mistake and have mix the H
for a K (Artic Blue Metallic (LK5U)
http://www.gti16v.com/vwcslk5u.htm#vwcslk5u
But i went to the paint place and i have seen how it's done, impossible!
So here i am with 2 correct paint code, 2 different paint companies and
about the same color, still, both are way off the original paint, at
least today's interior.
