The bay window was my very first "I've seen the light" moment with VW vans. When I discovered it (at 15 or so) I didn't even realize the splittie or Vanagon existed. Bays are beautiful and I am glad the prices aren't sky high. Once I get my 90' and 85' in acceptable working order (I hear you all laughing - bear with me) I think that a bay window will be my next bus. I've always wanted one - the Vanagon thing just fell in my lap (and I caught the bug pretty quick).

I had a chance to buy a bay window from an older couple when I was 17. It was orange and from what I could tell (visually) absolutely perfect. My parents wouldn't let me buy it (now I wonder why I just didn't do it anyway). The old timer wanted 2k and the bus had less than 100k miles on it. He said they used it for the commute from Florida to Michigan every year. Damn, that is a "do over" moment if I ever had one.
