Todd,
  I do have and use that Detoxit stuff on the connections, the ones that are not to far gone.  I was just thinking maybe theres a better type connector I could crimp and/or solder on that would replace the cheaper ones, and be sealed up.  Something like the O2 sensor connection has that nice rubber boot on it and it gets next to no corrosion.  If I don't find anything else I'll use that encapsulating idea with silicon.

For connections subject to corrosive environments, after reconnecting, I coat them with a thin covering of dielectric grease.

I suppose that for spade connectors you could try encapsulating them - say painting them with clear nail polish, or a blob of silicone caulk. If you block the ability of O2 to get to them, you will slow down the oxidation and buildup of crud.
