That van looks great! If he's paid you, just give it to him and don't waste any more time.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to match old paint colors because they fade unevenly, leaving parts of the car (or wall, or whatever) lighter, redder, bluer, whiter, etc. All pigments undergo value and color shifts with exposure to light. It's true of everything from house paint to photo negatives, and obviously, car paint. It is impossible to match 20 year old colors that have shifted from UV exposure, no matter what paint codes you have, no matter what you do. It can't be done.

I'd charge him for painting the jambs, too, unless you've already agreed to do it for free. Your price and job are good. You don't owe him anything. Next customer?
