having just been out at the van with my head in the bentley, I think the red white wire you are talking about from battery to fan may be existing only on some vans, probably those with a three stage radiator fan. bentley shows it in the 89 and up vans, not for my 87. maybe all vans with factory A/C had it (mine is a no ac van). my battery has only two wires going off, the fat one to the starter and the red one to the instrument panel. so I suppose I will have to add a wire, but looking at things, i guess my 12awg is a joke. I am a little bit scared about putting in an unfused wire between battery and instrument panel, but i guess thats the only way to do it. the easiestway of outing i see is out of the vent holes, and crossing under the body over to all the other wires that run along the passenger side.

thanks flo
