Subject: July Bicycle Trip to Fingerlakes, NY... LVC
Content-type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

After a few years of neglect I am back on my road bike(s) and a group of eight friends are planning a five day trip to the Ithaca NY region in mid July (18-23, I think).

I have not been a part of the last few trips of this particular group; but in general we will be doing 60 miles/day and staying at mom and pop motels and frequenting inns and cafes looking for local flair. We prefer fairly cheap rooms and like to spend our money where are mouths are.... good food and good local beers.

Is there anybody in the area that can shed some light on our planning? I am aware of the BTR (Bon Temp Roleau sp) ride that will be held in the area the week after we are there.... any other input from someone in the know would be appreciated.

It's been my experience that local input is ALWAYS better than tour guide/AAA info. Thanks in advance.

RVC: We will be sagged by a 93 Eurovan and probably my 89 Westy. -- Stephen Chillicothe OH
