He he he... ok, you made my day!

A short story: I did an inspection yesterday, a nice 85, very nice, buyer and seller were there. Anyway, i ask the seller why he was selling and he told me he just bought a Savana/new west http://www.quebecweb.com/newwest/introang.html

He paid around 70k...

So that is the price for a closest westy / comparison / camper

We are going toward a new era, fully rebuilt Westy around 20-35K.

And those same van will be seen in bad shape under 10K. Some in between.

MAny still think they can have a great little cheap VW camper for 10K, of course, there is some, but it's not the average. most of those van need care.

What is cheap? what is expensive?

So youmay do like many, drive it for a wile until you see that the van need care/money, a lot of care, a lot of money... and you sell it, now, the new owner think he made a great deal! Not! he put 5-8K, he is broke, sell the van for 15, but the van is far from perfect... and on and on and on...

I see that everyday.

Ben

-------------------------------------------------------------------------- And to me it's "powerplant porn." I look at those pretty new engines, I read about how nice they are to drive. I want one. Can't afford one. I sigh. Paying mortgage is far less satisfying. Maybe when the last kid is launched Mrs Squirrel and I will do some serious wandering. Sell the house, buy a new engine.
