You are dead on! I couldn't agree more. Two years ago we got stuck in middle of Oregon in a very small town called Burns. The bus would not change gears for me. Got help from VW community and found mechanic named Bear. At first he thought it was clutch slave cyclinder and I was going to have to wait for parts. Then he reconsidered and said we would change the fluid and then assess. That solved the problem! I then had him change the oil and I think he did something else for me. When it was time to go he said "How does 60 dollars sound". My reply was 80 dollars sounds better. I felt I got a bargain. I am in middle of nowhere and someone takes and interest and has the knowledge and expertise to put me on the road in short order. That is worth money. Your right Flo it will change when people step up to the plate and pay for the value they are getting. Bernie |
