I would differ on the Audi V6 being the ONLY one that fits in the Vanagon. However, I would agree with the fact that some work is involved(no bolt-and-go). My old van with the 2.8L Chevy V6 fit (with some scraping of the deck-lid insulation, and without spacing the engine carrier lower) I'm sure any 90-degree V6 would fit fine(since the 60-degree V6 fit with some clearancing), considering the width would never exceed that of the flat-4. Just my $.02 worth.
