Well.... The former owner of my Westy hauled hang gliders. Loading and unloading managed to crack the fiberglas in four places around where the skylight would go if it were a later top. We have been totally unsuccessful in repairing the damage. We have been totally unsuccessful in sealing the leaks. For me, a ladder would be a cheap investment. Even a $500 ladder! YMMV of course.
