>Definitely bad, avoid at all costs! >Just got a bill this week for $84 fees on an item valued at $250US shipped >by UPS. By comparison, the same item via USPS will cost you $5 + GST on >the value. I buy quite a lot for work from the US, and avoid UPS and FedEx >when I can. Both charge ridiculous brokerage fees on ground shipments. >USPS is the best all around, and provides online tracking and insurance. Yeah, I got hit with this in New Zealand too when someone sent me stuff by UPS. Fortunately there are no FedEx brokerage fees here. UPS it to be avoided at ALL costs. They're not known as Universal Parcel Smashers for nothing. -- Regards Andrew |
