Re the price of petrol .... citation below came in on the TomPaine.com Daily Dispatch today ....

Methinks the more isolated the United States becomes, the more our prices for goods from other countries will be costing U.S. consumers.

Markets, Corporations Abandoning U.S. by Robert Reich, The American Prospect The world's major economies, and the multinationals, have decoupled from the U.S. economy. Anyone else notice that VWOA did an across-the-board price increase of their parts?

Looks like somewhere in the 15-20% range.

Our fine US Dollar at work...

I was talking to my relatives in Germany this week and they were saying that gas prices are expected to drop in Germany due to the strength of the Euro to the Dollar.

Interesting economic times are coming, not good, but interesting.
